John L. Boze is a civil attorney with over 21 years of experience handling all types of Real Estate and Construction related matters. Mr. Boze represents numerous subcontractors, general contractors and real estate owners and developers. Mr. Boze began his private practice in 1997 specializing in real estate and construction law, including Complex Construction Defect Litigation. From 2003 to 2009, Mr. Boze was General Counsel for Production Framing Systems, Inc., one of the largest residential framing contractors in Northern and Central California, as well as Williams Lumber and Treasure Homes Communities.

Mr. Boze was one of the key authors and negotiators in the successful passage of AB 758 and AB 2738 regarding limitations on the subcontractors’ duty to indemnify and defend residential home builders. In 2010, Mr. Boze was on the negotiating team on behalf of contractors and suppliers regarding AB 457 and SB 189 which was California’s most comprehensive overhaul of the mechanic’s lien statutes in two decades.

John received his B.A. degree from California State University, Sacramento in Government and his J.D. from the Lincoln Law School. In 2009, Mr. Boze continued to run his own firm and joined The Burton Law Firm in March 2017.

John has received the award of “Top Lawyer” by Sacramento Magazine in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
